CANALVIEW project progress reaches 70%
70% PROJECT COMPLETION
Naseej has announced a new milestone for its flagship project CanalView as it reaches 70% project completion. Despite challenging times of the Corona-Virus Pandemic as well as effects felt from a global economic crisis, the Company along with the main contractor Al Kooheji Contracting have been very successful in minimizing the effects of such significant powers on construction schedules.
Mr. Ahmed Al Hammadi, General Manager of Naseej, said: “We are pleased to announce that CanalView has made excellent progress in the last few weeks, and we are proud to state that we are nearing close to project completion. The team at Naseej, and the rest of the professional teams have been working tirelessly to make such an achievement possible and pave the way towards completing this prestigious project and bringing it to life very soon.” He added, “The teams has followed their programme and key construction milestones, with particular attention towards applying various contingency plans during these extraordinary market conditions which have been truly unforeseeable for all parties. This has mean that we have had to ensure that all building materials and equipment for CanalView has been ordered well in advance in order not to disrupt workflows and miss deadlines. The team has also ensured an adequate workforce manpower has been maintained on site throughout the previous key months and going forward; such measures are just examples of how Naseej and its professional partners have had to adjust and adapt to current market situations, with the main goal of keeping workflows running as steady as possible and minimizing any negative impacts or risks to the projects.”
HEALTH & SAFETY AT THE PROJECT SITE
Mr. Al Hammadi also made note of the added health and safety precautions that have been implemented at the project site as the effects of the pandemic became increasingly more dangerous. He pointed out saying, “we have taken workplace health and safety extremely seriously at the project site, taking no risks with the entire team. We, along with the Contractor have adopted strict precautionary measures to safeguard every person working on site with added health and safety supervision at all times. The teams have paid diligent attention to workplace hygiene, sanitization as well as applying social distancing measures on site.”
