NASEEJ SETS BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLANS
In January 2020 the World Health Organization (WHO), declared the outbreak of COVID-19 coronavirus disease in Hubei Province, China to be a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. Since then, the outbreak has been classified as a nationwide Pandemic with a number of countries announcing a state of emergency.
WHO stated there is a high risk of the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) spreading to other countries around the world. WHO and public health authorities around the world are taking action to contain the COVID-19 outbreak. However, long term success cannot be taken for granted. All sections of our society –including businesses and employers –must play a role if we are to stop the spread of this disease.
In light of these serious conditions, Naseej’s management put together a business continuity plan for Naseej to ensure that business continues as normal under the developing circumstances.
Headed by Mr. Al Hammadi, he maintained that business at Naseej should run as usual, but remotely. The contingency plan covered aspects of remote working from home, access to emails, and shared files, video conferencing between staff and teams on a virtual basis. Mr. Al Hammadi confirmed that these measures would ensure that Naseej would be able to continue with business as usual avoiding minimal disruption and delays with business operations.
The emergence of COVID-19 across the globe has created a new work health and safety risk for all businesses to manage. In light of the outbreak, Naseej's HR and Administration team were quick to respond with a workplace health & safety code of conduct for staff to follow and adhere to.
